Swan Family Reunion in Orlando

We just returned home from our Swan Family Reunion in Orlando! We had such a great time visiting with everyone and going to all the Disney theme parks. We can't wait to go back! Here are some pictures of our trip...
Our first day at Magic Kingdom. Wheeler's first ever "ride" (the Aladdin carpets).

Checking out Mickey Mouse's house...

Getting a little bit tired.

Balloons make things better.

A very long but fun day!

And there he goes...

The next day the whole family went to Magic Kingdom. Meg made us SFR t-shirts and we were easy to pick out in the crowd. Good work Meg!

We got into the Disney spirit!

Ah we sure love that cute little Mickey Mouse!

More rides with daddy... but lots of crowds and waiting in line.  (avoid Disney world on Saturdays if you can help it. The difference between going Friday and Saturday was huge!)

Sunday we rested up and stayed around the resort with the family.

Happy rested baby and mommy.

It was a toss up between the parks and the pools for lots of the kids. The pool had a pirate ship waterslide and no lines to wait in!

Family Home Evening on Sunday night.

Monday we went to Disney Hollywood Studios. We brought Emma and Danny with us. Poor Dan had a busted leg during the trip, but got a fast pass to the front of all of the rides!

Wheeler was so excited to see Lightning McQueen. He loves his toy cars and that is his favorite!

Tuesday we went to Epcot. It was MY favorite of the trip. We ate fish and chips in England, crepes in France, waffles in Belgium, fried shrimp in China and gelato in Italy! What a fun holiday!

Sooooooo big!

Papa taught Wheeler to raise his arms up in the air when he asks " how big is Wheeler?" and says "sooooo big". Wheeler loves the game, and even though this past week he can only raise one arm in the air (poor broken baby) he proudly did  soooo big for the doctor this morning at our 9 month visit. SOOOO BIG is right. Our big Texas  baby just weighed in at 24 lbs 3 oz (90th percentile) and 30 inches tall ( 95th percentile). When did this kid get so HUGE... not to mention OLD? These last 9 months have gone by much too quickly for my taste and I find myself reminiscent over his newborn pictures and pouting as I pick through the 12-18th month rack of clothes at the store. Here's a look back. Happy 9 months Wheeler!

broken baby...

Nothing makes you feel like a worse mom when you turn your back for less than 10 seconds and your crazy, crawling climbing 9 month old crawls right off the edge of the bed and breaks his collar bone. Poor little guy. He can't put any weight on his right arm, and so it just hangs there limp and hurt and reminding me that I suck. The doctor says it is a pretty common injury for babies (especially when they start moving and crawling everywhere and off of things), and it should thankfully heal on its own in about 2 weeks. Poor broken baby Wheeler!
